In Malaysia, the Trademarks Act 2019 allows you to choose between filing one application for each class or bundling multiple classes into a single filing. Single-Class You receive a separate application number and a separate notification for each class. If you have five classes, you manage five different files. If you apply for three classes and one class faces an objection or opposition, the other two can proceed to registration independently without delay. Multi-Class You receive one application number and one notification that lists all the classes. This makes tracking renewals and recording changes (like a change of address or ownership) much easier and cheaper. If one class in your application faces an objection, the entire application is objected.
